Dialup Networking
[Windows NT]

To get online with Cyberonic using your Windows NT 4.0 follow these instructions. These are simple instructions that will work for most, but not all, Windows NT PCs.

1.Click on the START button and select PROGRAMS, then ACCESSORIES and then DIAL-UP NETWORKING. You'll see a window open up called "Dial Up Networking". 2.To connect to Cyberonic, you need to create a Cyberonic phone book entry. To do that, click on the "New" button, and you'll get a "New Phonebook Entry" window.
3.Type in the "Entry name" (Call it Cyberonic.).
4.Enter the number you use to connect to Cyberonic.
5.Make sure your modem is showing in the "Dial using" box. Click on the server tab.
6.Click on the "TCP/IP" box, so there's a check in it, and make sure the "Enable PPP LCP" extensions box is NOT checked. (If the PPP LCP box is checked you won't be able to connect to Cyberonic.)
Note: Software compression is not required, but may increase your throughput. (Some users have reported connection problems when compression is enabled. If your run into strange slow downs or disconnects, try connecting with software compression turned off (unchecked).
7.Click on the "TCP/IP Settings" button, and select
"Server assigned IP address".
8.Select "Server assigned name server addresses".
9.Make sure "Use IP header compression" is NOT checked.
10.Make sure "Use default gateway on remote network" is checked.
11.Click "OK".
12.Click on the "Script"tab.
13.Select "None" for after dialing (login).
14.Now click on the "Security" tab.
15.Select the "Accept any authentication including clear text" button and click "OK".

The first time you connect, you will be prompted for a username, password, and domain. Enter your Cyberonic login name and password, and clear the "Domain" box.
Your login name will usually be the first 3 letters of your last name, followed by a number, followed by @cyberonic. Example: "aaa1@cyberonic". It is NOT "aaa1@cyberonic.com".

If this set of instructions did not enable you to connect, or you have been disconnected, please call Technical Support at (888)-9-CYBER-2, or email us at info@1699.com.
